From September 21st to 23rd, in Fukushima Prefecture, the iDB2008 was held at the Human Resort iizaka. During this Forum, the student Mr. Kenta Oku (D3) received a Student Encouragement Award from the DBS Research Society of Information Processing Society.

Furthermore, during this event, it was held the award ceremony of the Distinguished Young Researcher Award in which Mr. Kenta Oku and Mr. Makoto Yui (D2) were nominated and won, during the JDBWS in June.
