Two of our students won the Distinguished Young Researcher Award during the jDBWS
On June 19th and 20th, during the jDB Workshop, the students Mr. Kenta Oku (D3) and Mr. Makoto Yui (D2) were nominated and won the Distinguished Young Researcher Award.
Different from the awards in usual conferences, in this award it is considered distinguished young researchers in the database and data engineering fields in our country. This year, we got recommendations from the presentations made during the DEWS 2008, in March, and from the Database Society of Japan / Data Engineering Conference of The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers / Database Systems Conference of The Information Processing Society of Japan (jDB Workshop HP).
The awards ceremony will be held in Fukushima prefecture during the iDB Forum 2008, on September, from 21st to 23rd.
